We are a body called Bethany in the greater Bellflower area, Reaching Out, Building Up, Sharing in God’s Family

We have a passion for Christ and compassion for people. We seek to serve the whole person in our community as a generous partner and servant leader.

We believe in celebrative worship, expectant prayer, faithful witness, helpful service, caring family, intentional discipleship, purposeful unity, cultural diversity, generous sharing, and consistent excellence.

It is our intent to obey “the greatest commandment.”

Jesus said the greatest commandment is:
Love the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

Jesus said the next greatest commandment is:
Love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:30-31)

It is our intent to obey “the great commission." Jesus gave the great commission when he said to his disciples (and all future believers):
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
(Matt 28:18-20)

Bethany is a member of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA). Headquarters for the CRCNA are in Grand Rapids Michigan.

We are, Christian – Followers of Jesus Christ. Reformed – In the historic line that began with Martin Luther and John Calvin in the 16th century.
